Curious, Confident, Ambitious
Headington Rye Oxford occupies a secluded site just a mile from the centre of Oxford amongst 23 acres of green space. The School has been formed following a merger between Headington School and Rye St Antony, officially opening in September 2024, and will take the best of two fantastic schools. It’s among the top performing schools in the UK at GCSE and A Level with most girls receiving places at Russell Group or Oxbridge universities. Flexible boarding options are offered for girls from age 11 (full, weekly and half-weekly) while there’s a wealth of academic choice, with 30 A-level subjects to choose from. Over 120 extracurricular activities take place each week, while key sports on offer include Hockey, Netball, Athletics and Cricket with more than 20 curricular and extra-curricular sports available. The fencing, cross country and athletics teams compete at national level and our champion rowers represent Great Britain at the highest international level. Musicians, actresses and dancers perform in a wide range of concerts and productions. Excellent facilities include a Creativity & Innovation Centre, which houses the School’s art, textiles and photography departments, which opened in 2021 and a new Food and Nutrition Centre which opened in 2022. A new boathouse is in the final stages of completion. The School’s facilities also include a fully-equipped music school, complete with recording and electronics studios and a 260-seat professional theatre.
